You may have heard that Daryl Hannah was arrested last week in front of the White House during a protest against the proposed 1,700 mile long Keystone oil pipeline from Canada to Texas. Ruffalo has come to her defense. In a video on the Tar Sands Action’s website, he says:
“Up north where the tar sands are located, native people’s homelands have already been wrecked. All that new oil will worsen global warming. It’s time for us to get off fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are over.”
