Zac Efron is seen on the set of his new film Heartland at the Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa late last week (July 15). Loving a man in uniform!
Zac plays Dean Whipple in the film, a teen from rural Iowa with dreams of becoming a professional race car driver, which doesn't sit well with his father Henry (Dennis Quaid).
Interestingly, there was an actual race at Iowa Speedway while Zac was filming on Friday (the ARCA Prairie Meadows 200). According to the Des Moines Register, Zac was nothing but friendly with the fans on hand:
"After being introduced to the crowd, waving several times and then climbing down the stairs, Efron deftly jumped the concrete barrier on Pit Road and climbed into the No. 11 car for more filming. Once he exited, driver Bryan Silas, of Stuart, Fla., took the wheel for the actual ARCA race, finishing 16th."
