Vanessa Williams is spotted in the makeup room on the set of Desperate Housewives in Los Angeles earlier in the week (July 11). Vanessa tweeted the pic and said: "Day 1 back at #desperatehousewives with @katebestmakeup on the job!"

According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello, Vanessa's character Renee is getting a new love interest this season:
"Charles Mesure is invading Wisteria Lane. The former V mercenary is joining Desperate Housewives as a series regular, sources confirm to TVLine exclusively. Mesure will play Ben, a sexy, charming, and occasionally ruthless contractor who has the kind of grit and drive that comes from being a self-made man."
