Richard Gere is spotted filming his new finance thriller Arbitrage at Le Caprice restaurant in Manhattan last week (April 14). Gere was also seen filming the movie in Central Park on Wednesday. You can check out those pictures here.
One actress you can bet won't be appearing in Gere's new flick is Claire Sweeney. Sweeney - who appeared in the stage version of Chicago in 2001 - met with the actor to discuss their performances (Gere appeared in the film version of the musical in 2002). She told UK tabloid Metro Gere was less than polite:
"I interviewed him for a TV show when I was in Chicago and the film of Chicago he was in had just come out. He tried to put me down and was just really rude. At the end, I asked about his courtroom scene, which was his big scene, and said: 'So in the courtroom scene, were you advised to sound like Dick Van Dyke or was that a character choice?' He just looked at his publicist and said: 'This interview is terminated.' I thought: 'Stick it up your arse.'"
