Evan Rachel Wood

Looking beautiful as ever, Evan Rachel Wood is seen on the set of The Ides of March at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor on Tuesday (Mar. 15). Wood was seen wearing a badge identifying her as a staff member of the fictional Governor Mike Morris (played by George Clooney).

Angela Smith, an extra on Ides, had a pretty interesting write-up of her experience on set Tuesday that she posted on AnnArbor.com:

9:50 a.m. "The director comes on to stage and introduces himself to us, the audience of roughly 700 extras. Who is directing this film? Why, none other than George Clooney.

"Most of us had no idea if we would even see the superstar today, so cheers and excitement erupted throughout the theater. The captive audience has no problem following direction and enjoying Mr. Clooney’s humorous quips and light banter.

"We enjoyed every minute of his attention, and he ours. During the day he tells us about his dinner last night at Ann Arbor’s Pacific Rim, joked with us the rivalry between Michigan and Ohio State, and had the crowds cheering for a University of Michigan film student named Yuri.

"There is a lot of waiting but the crew and cast are personable and friendly.

"We, the extras, are rearranged throughout the theater to shoot and reshoot a scene where George’s presidential candidate character is giving a speech about the importance of changing the world and the science of global warming. We are the enthralled supporters. We cheer and wave flags."

Being an extra sounds like fun!

Megan Hilty

Megan Hilty is spotted on the set of Smash Tuesday in New York (Mar. 15). Katharine McPhee was also spotted on the set of the new NBC musical drama on Monday (you can see those pics here).

You may not recognize Megan as she hasn't done too many big TV roles. Broadway, however, is a different story. She received a Drama Desk Award nomination, Outer Critics Circle Award nomination, and LA Ovation nomination for her portrayal of Doralee in 9 to  5 the Musical.

Hopefully NBC picks up Smash permanently so we get to see more of this rising star!

Clive Owen

Clive Owen is seen rocking a new mustache on the set of Hemingway & Gellhorn in San Francisco on Tuesday (Mar. 15). Owen plays iconic American novelist Ernest Hemingway in the film, which is being directed by Philip Kaufman. Also spotted on set Tuesday was Nicole Kidman. You can see all of her pictures in the gallery.

Variety is reporting that Robert Duvall was just added to the cast of Hemingway & Gellhorn. He'll play a Russian general.

Susannah Greason Robbins, executive director of the San Francisco Film Commission, says that when completed, the film will pump more than $40 million into the local economy:

"Considering that they started in late August, that's a good amount of money being poured into San Francisco in a little more than nine months."

Ashton Kutcher and Garry Marshall

Ashton Kutcher is spotted having a conversation with director Garry Marshall on the set of New Years Eve in Times Square on Tuesday (Mar. 15).

Marshall originally intended New Year's Eve to be a sequel to his 2010 hit Valentine's Day, but has since taken the film in a different direction with stars Ashton and Jessica Biel playing different roles.

******SPOILER ALERT******

Ashton also shot a scene with Glee's Lea Michele on Tuesday and the two shared a steamy kiss. You can see the pics here.

Mario Testino and Emma Watson

Photographer Mario Testino is seen with Emma Watson on the set of a photoshoot for Lancôme in Paris yesterday (Mar. 16). The Harry Potter star has been in the French capital since Monday shooting a campaign for the high-end makeup brand.

Watson teased her fans over the weekend before announcing on Monday that she was the new face of Lancôme. She tweeted:

"A new venture is starting - what can it be? Follow my clues and you will see..."

"I'll pierce your skin if you hold me wrong but I'll love you forever if you pass me on."

"I'll be seen through a lens that has seen me before. Do you know who I mean, or do you still need more?"

"Are you keeping pace? No? Don't lose face, it's not a race. We share our birthplace..."

"It's a beauty house that wears a hat. French? Very, but this is no beret."

"This Pretty Woman was their latest recruit. Other great actresses have previously followed suit."

"It starts with an L and ends with an E. I’m sure you have guessed the new face of Lancôme is me!"

Rachel Bilson

Rachel Bilson is spotted in Paris Tuesday on the set of a commercial for Magnum ice cream (Mar. 15). Bilson will play a ballerina in the commercial (she was wearing ballet slippers and a tutu under her robe). The shoot was directed by famed German designer Karl Lagerfield.

Even though Rachel has such a youthful look, she's actually turning 30 this year. The actress - who begins production soon on her new CW pilot Hart of Dixie - told Madison that she's a little freaked out:

"I am sort of freaking out. I thought I wasn't going to, but a lot of my friends are a couple of years older than me and they're not helping! They keep saying, 'You’re next'. So I keep saying, 'What’s going to change? Will I implode or something?' My 20s have been good to me, I have to say."

Christina Ricci

Christina Ricci gets caught by a gust of wind on the set of the ABC pilot Pan Am Wednesday in New York (Mar. 16). The actress was also spotted on the set of the retro drama last week (pics here).

Interestingly, the script for the Pan Am pilot was written by former ER writer Nancy Hult Ganis, who used to be a Pan Am flight attendant in the 1970s. Sony Pictures TV production president Zack Van Amburg told Variety that there will no shortage of interesting storylines in the new series:

"[Pan Am flight attendants] were the world's ambassadors. They were really interesting women at a time when a lot of things were happening, particularly for women in this country... and in terms for what Pan Am did for exporting American culture and importing the world, think about all the visuals of the Beatles landing at JFK on Pan Am."
