A shakeup is in the works for Law & Order: SVU. After 10 years with the show, executive producer Neil Baer is stepping down and being replaced by former Lights Out executive producer Warren Leight. Leight - who used to write for Law & Order: Criminal Intent - told The Hollywood Reporter last week about the advantages of working on a show like SVU:
"Short stories you can sit down and read in one sitting and in a way that's what episodes of Law & Order are: you can watch them any time of the day or night in any country in the world and you don't need to know what came before or what came after. From a pure business point of view, it has a much better chance."
