Leonardo DiCaprio is spotted Friday playing a young J. Edgar Hoover on the set of his latest film J. Edgar in Downtown Los Angeles (Feb 11). He was also spotted the previous day filming a scene at the historic Orpheum Theater (pics here).
Nearly 40 years after his death, Hoover is still stirring up controversy. Emanuel Cleaver, chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, is blasting a plan to name a national museum research center for the former FBI director:
"It is not healthy for the nation if his legacy does not include an asterisk for his (archaic) views on race. I'm wondering what Dr. King would say to us."
