Kelsey Grammer
Kelsey Grammer is seen on the set of his new series Boss in the Little Hell neighborhood of Chicago last month (July 25).
Grammer plays Tom Kane in the series, the ruthless mayor of Chicago who would do anything to keep power, including hiding a degenerative brain disease from his friends, family, and political foes. The veteran actor revealed earlier this year that he feels like he's returning back to his acting roots in the new series:
"It has always been in my mind to play a more serious role. I didn't start out as a comic actor. I started out in classical theater, playing tragedies. That was my first love...This particular role couldn't have taken place directly after Frasier. It would have been too big of a jolt."
Look for the premiere of Boss on Starz this October.
