Isla Fisher on the set of “The Great Gatsby”

Isla Fisher is spotted on the set of The Great Gatsby in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday (October 26). Isla plays Myrtle Wilson in the film, the unstable wife of George Wilson (Jason Clarke) and the mistress of Tom Buchanan (Joel Edgerton).

Also spotted filming the scene with Isla was Tobey Maguire and Edgerton – check out the pics in the gallery.

Isla’s husband Sacha Baron Cohen and her two daughter, Olive and Elula, have joined her in Sydney. The family was seen taking a boat trip in Sydney Harbour a few weeks ago to celebrate Sacha’s 40th birthday.

    I LOVE Isla Fischer, but didn’t think this was great casting initially.  I thought Isla was a bit too effervescent for this role.  Now that I see these photos I am THRILLED.  She looks perfect.  The posture, the expression, the hair, it’s all exactly what Myrtle has always looked like in my mind’s eye.  Now all I need to do is hope that bug-eyed eunuch Tobey Maguire doesn’t stink up the whole thing.  All the other casting is spot on, and I love this book, love Baz Luhrmann, and am so looking forward to this movie!
