Giovanni Ribisi and Josh Brolin are seen filming their new movie The Gangster Squad in Los Angeles earlier this week (October 3). Oh my gosh, this movie looks like it's going to be SO cool!

The Gangster Squad is based on a seven-part Los Angeles Times series by Paul Lieberman in 2008 about how a special "Gangster Squad" unit was created by the LAPD in the 1940s to prevent the East Coast mafia from infiltrating the city.
The film is scheduled for release on October 19, 2012.
