George Clooney and Ryan Gosling
George Clooney and Ryan Gosling are seen on the set of the drama The Ides of March Friday in Cincinnati, Ohio (Feb. 18). Clooney, who plays Governor Mike Morris in the film, is also directing.
Scenes for The Ides of March were shot at two different Cincinatti-area bars: The Stand in Mount Lookout Square and Head First Sports Cafe in downtown. Film publicist Tracey Schaefer told The Cincinnati Enquirer:
"The Stand was chosen because it had the right look and feel of a lounge. But also looked as if it could be part of a motel."
