Denis Leary
January 6 -- Denis Leary is caught on set of Spider-Man 4 in Los Angeles. Leary is replacing James Cromwell in the role of Captain George Stacy, who's the father of Emma Stone's character Gwen. In the original comic, Stacy actually dies during a fight between Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus. No word if the movie will stay true to the comic, though I have a feeling director Marc Webb will put his own "spin" on the story.
Spider-Man 4 is scheduled to hit theaters Fourth of July weekend in 2012, so I think we'll be seeing pictures from this production for quite a while.
