Eva Longoria Says Goodbye to "Desperate Housewives"

Last week Eva Longoria tweeted pics from the final days of filming on the set of Deperate Housewives. The ABC hit series will end after 8 seasons. She tweeted the picture above with this caption:

"The beautiful @vwofficial signing at our wrap last night! What an amazing woman to work with over the last 2 years!"

It seems like most of the cast and crew are sad to see their show end. Well we are sad too. I hope all of these great actors and actresses move on to new projects that are just as entertaining as Deperate Housewives was. When they do, you'll know where to find pictures of them on set!

Vanessa Williams and Kevin Rahm are spotted goofing off on the set of Desperate Housewives last week in Los Angeles (August 11). Rahm looks like he could have a career in the WWE once the series officially ends after the upcoming Season 8!

James Denton, who plays Mike Delfino on the show said at the TCA summer press tour earlier this month that, even though he's sad to see Desperate Housewives end, he hopes the writers wrap it up in a classy way:

"I just hope it's natural and really believable and normal, that the characters for some reason move on to another part of life, that there’s nothing melodramatic. I know these guys will find a classy way to do it, but I just hope it's something really normal. I trust it'll be satisfying."

Vanessa Williams is spotted relaxing on the set of Desperate Housewives in Los Angeles last Thursday (August 3). Wisteria Lane looks like a fun place to work!

It was revealed last week that the upcoming eighth season of Desperate Housewives will be its last. Say it ain't so! Creator Marc Cherry said at a TV critics meeting that he made the decision because he wanted the show to go out on top:

"I wanted to go out while the network still saw us as a viable show, while we were still doing well in the ratings, and we were still a force to be contended with. I wanted to go out in the classiest way possible.

"[ABC president Paul Lee and I] made this decision together, which was so wonderful, and he's been so kind to me, to listen to me and what my fears were and what I needed and wanted. We decided that this was the right time, and I feel so good about it."

While in Greece last month on vacation, Vanessa told OK! magazine all about her daily eating routine:

"I'm in Athens, Greece at the moment so food for summer has been light. To start my day, I had a cup of herbal tea followed by a cup of mango juice. I eat scrambled eggs and yogurt with fruit when there's time for me to sit down. Lunch was prosciutto wrapped around Greek cheese and small cherry tomatoes. [For dinner] I had a traditional Greek dinner with saganaki – hot cheese – salad, fries, grilled chicken & beef, eggplant and yogurt dressing."

Yum! Is anyone else hungry right now?

According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello, Vanessa's character Renee is getting a new love interest this season:

"Charles Mesure is invading Wisteria Lane. The former V mercenary is joining Desperate Housewives as a series regular, sources confirm to TVLine exclusively. Mesure will play Ben, a sexy, charming, and occasionally ruthless contractor who has the kind of grit and drive that comes from being a self-made man."
