Colin Firth

As you've no doubt heard by now, The King's Speech won Best Picture at last night's Academy Awards. The film was the big winner of the night as Tom Hooper won Best Director and Colin Firth was also named Best Actor.

Here's some pictures of the set of The King's Speech from back in September 2009. The pics show the dramatic 1930's transformation of the Pullens Buildings on Crampton Street in Southwark, London. Modern amenities such as parking ticket machines were covered with fiberglass period-authentic postboxes and a fog machine was used to create a smoggy atmosphere.
