Wait, so Gus Van Sant is involved in this movie but he isn't directing? What? That's so weird. I guess he's played a few small parts over the years. Being on set with Paul Schrader and Gus Van Sant at the same time would be a great place to learn if you want to be a director when you grow up. Imagine getting to pick the brains of the guys who brought us Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, American Gigolo, The Last Temptation of Christ, Drugstore Cowboy, My Own Private Idaho, Good Will Hunting and Milk?
