The Weekend Winner is a weekly update here on Caught on Set. Every Monday we will post pictures from the set of the movie that wins the box office battle over the weekend.

Seth MacFarlane's first foray into the movie business has so far been a resounding success. The Family Guy creator's first film, Ted, won the box office battle over the weekend. By pulling in $54.1 million from 3,239 locations it became the highest opening original R-Rated comedy ever. From Boxofficemojo.com:

Congratulations Seth! What a great success. I haven't had a chance to see the movie yet, but the trailers look hilarious. Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis are a great pairing and look great too, which never hurts. I thought it would end up as the weekend's top box office draw, but I never thought they would pull in so much money. Ray Subers said it best, "After nearly two months of Summer movies targeted at younger audiences, this weekend served as a good reminder that adults like to go to the theater too." Indeed we do!

Mark Wahlberg knees a cop on set!

Mark Wahlberg is spotted on the set of Ted in Boston on Saturday night (July 10). Norah Jones was also spotted entertaining the crowd of extras, which some estimates put at 3,000+!

A big thanks to BryantO, one of the extras for the scene, for taking the pics. Sounds like he had a great time on set:

"I was a crowd extra last night/early this morning for the movie Ted filming on location in Boston at the Hatch Shell. Mark Wahlberg was there along with Seth MacFarlane. The special musical guest star was Norah Jones and her band. Shawn Thorton also did a stunt scene. Caught a shot of Mark Wahlberg joking around where he knees a police officer... Lots of fun!"

Mila and Mark: Married!

Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg

Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg are spotted filming a wedding scene for their new movie Ted in Boston last Thursday (June 30). Sure it's not a real wedding, but at least she got to walk down the aisle with Mark!

Mila was also spotted on set a few weeks ago - check out those pics here.

Besides being a movie star, Mila is also the voice of Meg Griffin on Family Guy. She told Fox All Access yesterday that she's shocked by what the show gets away with:

"It doesn't surprise me how brilliant it is, but I do believe we have an amazing staff of writers that are absolutely the most amazing group of people. As far as gasping, yeah, I gasp a lot. I never get offended, but there are certain episodes where I'm like 'this will never get on the air' and then when it does, you know, it's amazing to me."

Mila Kunis filming "Ted" in Boston

Mila Kunis is spotted filming Ted in Boston late last week (June 24).

While promoting his new film Friends with Benefits, Justin Timberlake told Jay Leno that it took a little time for him and Mila to be comfortable together (the two play friends in the film who hook up):

"We said we'll put [the sex scenes] at the end and it gave us time to get a little bit of a rhythm with each other ... That was probably the wrong choice of words!"

Mark Wahlberg filming at the Public Garden

Mark Wahlberg is spotted on the set of his new comedy Ted at the Public Garden in Boston on Monday (May 9). In one of his scenes, Mark took a romantic ride on one of the famous Swan Boats with Mila Kunis. Director Seth MacFarlane was also spotted on set. Check out his pics in the gallery.

Boston.com has more about the day's shoot:

"Joining [Mark and Mila] for the shoot was an oversize teddy bear that served as a stand-in for the CGI bear that will be Wahlberg's costar in the movie. MacFarlane was spotted yesterday morning wearing a motion-capture suit to act out the movements of the bear, and giving instructions to Wahlberg about how to talk to the CGI teddy. Most of the passersby on the way to work ignored the spectacle — but some fans took a moment to snap some cellphone shots."

Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis: date night!

Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis are spotted filming a date scene for their new film Ted last Thursday night in the Boston suburb of Swampscott (May 6). The scene was filmed at 441 Atlantic Avenue, right next to the entrance to Preston Beach, across the street from Beach Bluff Avenue.

As you can imagine, the town of Swampscott is pretty excited to have movie stars like Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg in their midst. Local resident Jan Waldamn told the Swampscott Patch:

"I can't wait for the movie to come out. I'm looking forward to see it, we're not New York City, this is a big deal around here."

Look for the movie to hit theaters next July.

Mila Kunis is spotted staying dry on the set of Ted during a rainy day in Boston last week (May 4). Of course she still looks gorgeous as usual.

Mila and the rest of the Ted cast and crew have been in Boston for the past week or so. Hmmm, I wonder if Mila is going to take a little trip to Washington D.C. after filming wraps? She revealed to New York Magazine last week that she is determined to meet President Obama:

"I don't know [President Obama's aide Reggie Love], but I would recognize him and I would definitely flirt with him if it helps me meet the president."
