The Avengers lead all movies over the weekend for the 3rd straight week. Grossing over $55 million on 4,249 screens. The gross was down 46.6 % on 100 less screens, but was still scored more than double the 2nd place film Battleship. From boxofficemojo.com:

Scarlett Johansson is spotted filming her new movie Under the Skin in the former fishing village of Auchmithie in Angus, Scotland last week (November 3). In the scene, the actress drags a guy out of the water and then bashes him in the head with a rock. Ouch!

Scarlett plays Laura in the sci-fi horror film, an alien sexual predator. FilmNation described the role as "an alien on Earth, disguised as the perfect aesthetic form of a mesmerizing woman. She scours remote highways and desolate scenery looking to use her greatest weapon to snare human prey - her voracious sexuality."

Wow, sounds like a very interesting role, to say the least.

Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson

Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson are seen on the set of The Avengers at Bethesda Fountain in Central Park last Friday (September 2). Looks like the film has moved onto Manhattan after spending a few weeks filming in Cleveland (check out The Avengers page for some pics from the Ohio city).

Johansson - who plays Black Widow in the film - told The Hollywood Reporter last month that the highly-anticipated film is sort of a logistical nightmare:

"Yeah, it's a massive production. We have a lot of sets, and all kinds of vehicles and all kinds different sorts of ships and boats."

A tired-looking Scarlett Johansson is spotted on the set of The Avengers last week in Santa Fe, New Mexico (June 8). The film began production back in late April (check out a really cool picture from director Joss Whedon here).

During a surprise appearance at the Hero Complex Film Festival in Hollywood on Sunday, Scarlett's co-star Robert Downey Jr. joked that he can't the film so far:

"Well, I hate everybody. I'm not talking about the cast, I'm not talking about Joss. What I mean is I tend to look at a scene and say 'This is absolutely impossible, we can't shoot this, it's horrible. I can tell you 10 other movies it's been in, I refuse.' I usually start off the morning by refusing to do what I've signed on to do.

"How are you gonna put all of us clowns together? He's wearing a suit, he's all jacked up, he's so and so, and poor Mark Ruffalo, he's gonna outdo us. And we're about six weeks in, and I have to say Joss Whedon is nailing it. He's so smart and so good. And it's gonna be great. I can't believe I just said it. I never could've believed this, but it's gonna be great."

A tired and makeupless Scarlett Johansson is seen Saturday on the set of a photoshoot for Stardust magazine in Downtown Los Angeles (Feb. 12).

Stardust is a monthly magazine out of India featuring all the latest Bollywood news and Hollywood gossip.

Scarlett was just voted the 7th most "Desirable Woman" in AskMen.com's annual poll, published earlier this month; they wrote:

"Men everywhere were suddenly rejuvenated [when Scarlett and her husband Ryan Reynolds broke up]; they had purpose for their hope -- long extinguished -- was renewed. Scarlett Johansson, the de facto sexiest woman in Hollywood, was officially single again and yours to lose."
