More Stars On The "Machete Kills" Set

Robert Rodriguez posted several photos from the set of his new movie Machete Kills. The follow up to 2010's Machete features several of the same cast members. Although the sequel will feature several new faces as well. Rodriguez tweeted a poster featuring Lady Gaga with the following caption:

"I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills , she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!"

I am a huge Robert Rodriguez fan and I love all of his movies. Except for those Spy Kids movies, I think I was just too old to appreciate them. However, I am no fan of Lady Gaga as singer, so I have some serious doubts about her as an actress. I'll just have to take his word for it, I mean he has had Steven Seagal and Willem Dafoe play Mexicans in his movies and I think they both turned out rather well.

Jessica Alba Shoots "Machete Kills"

Jessica Alba was caught striking a pose with Machete himself, Danny Trejo, on set of their new movie Machete Kills. Kyle Ward wrote the screenplay and Robert Rodriguez will again direct the sequel to 2010's Machete. The sequel follows a different storyline than the original, but doesn't stray too far from the borderline ridiculousness that made the first one so great. From Imdb.com:

"The U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space. "

The original Machete was so awesome in an old school type of way. I can't wait to see this movie. I love how Rodriguez decided to take movies back in time. When characters, plots and even background music were completely ridiculous and almost porn like. One thing is for sure, like the original this sequel will have plenty of star power as Amber Heard, Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen, Michelle Rodriguez and Sofía Vergara are all set to join the cast. No release date has been set yet.
