Alicia Keys is spotted on the set of her new Lifetime movie Project Five this week. Also seen hanging with the singer-turned-director is Jeanne Tripplehorn, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jenifer Lewis, Rosario Dawson, and Jeffrey Tambor.

As mentioned before, Project Five is a collaboration of five short films dealing with the impact of breast cancer on people's lives. Jennifer Aniston was spotted on the set of her short film earlier this month in Altadena, California (here and here). Joining Keys and Aniston as directors are Demi Moore, Monster director Patty Jenkins, and a fifth director that hasn't been named yet. Tripplehorn will play an oncologist in all five short films.

Lifetime president Nancy Dubuc said she's excited about the new project:

"I'm a big fan of this amazing group of powerful and creative women. It's an awesome feeling to be able to give them such a strong platform to do what they do best -- entertain and tell great stories -- so that we educate viewers about breast cancer through these films of courage, love and hope."

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston is spotted last Thursday in Los Angeles on the set of her new short film for Lifetime titled Project Five (April 14). The actress was also spotted on set Wednesday.

As mentioned before, Aniston is teaming up with four other directors to film the movie, which is a compilation of five short films about the impact of breast cancer on people's lives.

Aniston told Us Weekly she took on the project because she just wanted more out of her career: "After you get enough movies under your belt you sit back and go, 'What's next?' It's getting to a time where creatively I want to turn in a different direction."

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston is spotted on the set of her new short film for Lifetime Project Five at Mountain View Cemetery in Altadena, Calif. on Wednesday (April 13). The film's a little change of pace for the actress -- she's stepping behind the camera to direct!

Project Five will be an anthology of five short films exploring the impact of breast cancer on people's lives. Directing the other four short films will be Alicia Keys, Demi Moore, Patty Jenkins, and a fifth director to be announced very soon.

Aniston said in statement that she hopes the new project will be so much more than just a film:

"Our hope with Project Five is to entertain, inform and inspire dialogue, research and prevention. Otherwise, our goals are small. We want these films to move people and empower those affected by breast cancer to stand tall through this challenge, which impacts ALL of our lives, no matter who we are."
