Michael Emerson is spotted on the set of Person of Interest in New York earlier this week (November 1). Loved Michael on Lost and he's even better on this new show!

Person of Interest creator Jonathan Nolan told TV Guide that a lot of questions will be answered on upcoming episodes of the new hit show (I want to know why Emerson's character Finch limps!):

"I like shows that dangle the big picture forever, but we really like these characters and we're impatient to tell some of their story."

Last week, CBS officially picked up Person of Interest for a full first season. The show is second to Unforgettable as the most-watched new drama series this season, averaging nearly 14 million viewers an episode (including me!). A big congrats to everyone on the show!

James Caviezel is spotted getting a makeup touch-up on the set of his new CBS show Person of Interest in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn late last week (September 30). I really hope CBS orders more episodes of this show because it's already become one of my favorites.

The show's creator Jonathan Nolan told USA Today last month what inspired him to write the show (in which Caviezel plays Reese, an ex-CIA agent who uses information from an Orwellian computer system developed by Finch [Michael Emerson] to prevent crime before they even occur):

"People support a little bit of a tradeoff in privacy, so if there are large-scale catastrophes we can prevent them from happening. I was fascinated by the information that goes by the wayside — listening for chatter about terrorist attacks, but hearing about marital infidelities and gangland stuff."

James Caviezel on the set of "Person of Interest"

James Caviezel is spotted on the set of his new CBS drama Person of Interest in New York yesterday (August 17). Most famous for his film work (The Passion of the Christ, Frequency, Thin Red Line), the show is Caviezel's first foray into television.

Caviezel stars as Reese in the new show, a former CIA agent (presumed to be dead) hired by the mysterious billionaire Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson) to stop crimes that his secret program has predicted. J.J. Abrams - who Emerson worked with on Lost - wrote the screenplay.

Person of Interest is the highest testing drama pilot for CBS in 15 years. The network has actually moved CSI out of the highly-coveted 9 PM Thursday slot to make room for the show. Hope it's a success!
