Karine Vanasse is spotted on the set of Pan Am in New York on Thursday (November 10). Does anyone know if anyone still sells those Pan Am bags? They are so cool!

Karine told Toronto.com earlier this month that she's amazed at the era the show is set in (the '60s):

"What amazes me the most is that contradiction: 'Yes, you'll be able to see the world and have your own money, you'll be an independent woman,' but at the same time it'll be, 'Come here and how much do you weigh this morning?'"

Kelli Garner is "Pan Am" pretty

Kelli Garner is spotted walking on the set of her ABC series Pan Am in New York on Tuesday (October 18). This seems like such a fun show to be a part of!

Also starring on the show is Christina Ricci. Ricci told The View yesterday that she had no idea that stewardesses back in the day did more than just look pretty:

"I had the common misconception in my head. When I heard what was actually required of these Pan Am stewardesses. They had to be college educated and know many languages and everything else. It was like wow his totally blows my misconceptions out of the water."

Margot Robbie on the set of "Pan Am"

Margot Robbie is spotted on the set of Pan Am in New York earlier this week (October 18). Loving her retro hairdo!

To make sure the show was extra accurate, before filming the pilot, Pan Am producers visited The Aviation Library and Louis A. Turpen Aviation Museum at San Francisco International Airport, which has more than 10,000 records about the famous airline. Museum curator John Hill said the show has done a great job so far:

"It's a real feast because they did go to such extremes to try to portray it accurately ... Pan Am was putting its crew out into the far reaches of the world, so they were predisposed to being culturally sensitive, culturally aware, very much at ease in their roles both as professional flight crew and also ambassadors of the U.S."

Jeremy Davidson and Kelli Garner are a "Pan Am" pair

Jeremy Davidson and Kelli Garner are seen walking on the set of Pan Am in New York on Monday (October 17). Kelli plays flight attendant Kate Cameron on the show and Jeremy plays a member of the CIA who convinces Kate to spy for the agency.

In an interview last month with TV Addict, Kelli gave her opinion on why the era the show is set in (the early 1960s) holds so much appeal:

"On a surface level: the aesthetic, the clothing, the makeup, the curves accentuating a full-figured woman. And I think just where we were at in history - on the cusp of woman's liberation and civil rights. It's been so cool considering I come from non-traditional schooling and to read each script and learning the most fascinating things in more detail that I was not even aware of."

Margot revealed to E! on Sunday that an upcoming episode will take place in Rome during the time of the Second Vatican Council in 1963:

"There are a lot of nuns and priests on the plane with us, and there's a funny storyline with this passionate couple in a lavatory. Laura is stuck with all that, so it's really funny."

Veanne Cox is spotted on the set of Pan Am in New York on Tuesday (October 11). We need more series like Pan Am and Mad Men. I LOVE all the old hairstyles and fashion.

If you've seen Pan Am, you no doubt remember the scene where the Pan Am stewardesses are weighed in before beginning work. Did they really do that? ABC asked former Pan Am flight attendant Valerie Waterman, who worked for the airline from 1970-1976:

"I was 5 feet 3, and weighed 100 pounds soaking wet," she says. Yes, they had weigh-ins occasionally, and there was also a rule banning married stewardesses (which changed during her tenure) but at the time, none of this bothered her: "I was only 20, and my consciousness hadn't exactly been raised at that point."

Christina told The Globe and Mail yesterday how she and other castmates learned how to be Pan Am flight attendants from the '60s:

"We spent time with former Pan Am stewardess Nancy Hult Ganis, who provided us with tons of anecdotal research and information from the airline. You know, pamphlets they were given at the time, explaining what stewardesses were required to look like and act like. We were taught things that I’m hopeless at, like napkin folding and the proper way to serve food and greet people."
