A Look Back: "Perks Of Being A Wallflower"

"A Look Back” is a series of posts we here at Caughtonset.com feature weekly. It’s as simple as the title makes it sound. Each Friday we will take “A Look Back” to the set of a newly released film. Look at pictures from the set today, then watch the movie tonight.

This week we take A Look Back at the new release The Perks of Being A Wallflower starring Emma Watson. Again it's a small release, but it seems like a really good movie with a great young cast.

Logan Lerman, Dylan McDermott, Kate Walsh, Nina Dobrev and Paul Rudd are also included in this all-star cast. I always wonder how films with such small budgets are able to get such awesome talent together. I guess they give up some on the production side to get better talent. And it seems like many actors are willing to take less money to be apart of an ensemble cast, especially if the screenplay is really good.

Nina Dobrev and Claire Holt are spotted on the set of their show The Vampire Diaries last Friday in Decatur, Georgia (September 30). Wow, beautiful people picture!

Holt is new to the series - she'll be playing Rebekah (AKA Bex), a beautiful vampire linked to Stefan (Paul Wesley) in the past. However, Paul told ZAP2it that Nina's character Elena has nothing to worry about:

"Stefan isn't thinking about other women in the least bit. He's completely in love with Elena and he's doing this whole thing for Elena."

Nina Dobrev is spotted on the set of The Vampire Diaries in Decatur, Georgia last week. The pretty star was rocking some super short shorts - which is no big deal when you have legs as nice as hers!

Check out Nina and the rest of The Vampire Diaries stars in the latest issue of Rolling Stone. Ian told the mag that if you're not watching the show, you're missing out:

"The whole Twilight thing is about to be over. And teenage girls can't watch True Blood with their parents - that would just get weird. So we're getting ready to kick some major ass this season."

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are seen on the set of The Vampire Diaries in Decatur, Georgia last month. Wow, there are some really beautiful people on this show.

Somerhalder told E! earlier this week how he's hoping there's a Nobel Prize in his future . . . wait, what? He explained:

"When we wrapped [Vampire Diaries] April 18, I flew to Zimbabwe where I was doing a documentary. I met a scientist named Allan Savory. He's figured out a way to reverse climate change, literally through agriculture. So I'm directing this documentary about him with Geoff Shotz, our camera director on Vampire Diaries...The goal of the movie is to win Allan Savory a Nobel Prize for agriculture, which has never been done."

How cool!

Nina Dobrev filming the new season of "The Vampire Diaries"

Nina Dobrev is spotted on the set of her show The Vampire Diaries in Georgia on Tuesday (July 12). Nina and crew were shooting the first scenes of Season 3.

Look for the Season 3 premiere of The Vampire Diaries on September 15.

According to The Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec, the first episode of Season 3 is actually going to jump ahead to Nina's character Elena's 18th birthday. She told TVGuide.com:

"Our first episode is Elena's 18th birthday. There will be a small time jump [from where last season ended] as we celebrate Elena's birthday. But as is the pattern in Mystic Falls, the event never reaches its climax. [Now that she's 18,] Elena and Jeremy technically don't need a parent living in their house. She will be taking care of herself."

Nina Dobrev and Kate Walsh are spotted on the set of The Perks of Being a Wallflower in Pittsburgh yesterday (June 16). Nina tweeted the pic and jokingly said: "It's all business on the set of The Perks of Being A Wallflower @katewalsh and I don't like eachother at all."

Of course Nina also stars on the hit CW show The Vampire Diaries. She told MTV at the Movie Awards earlier this month that the show wouldn't exist without Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart:

"I'm very happy that [Twilight] exists because we exist because of them. Their success is our success. I'm kind of sad the movies are almost over ... Kellan [Lutz], Ashley [Greene] and the whole group—we all run in the same circles."

Emma Watson is "Perks" pretty

Emma Watson is spotted on the set of The Perks of Being a Wallflower yesterday in Pittsburgh (June 7). The pic was tweeted by Emma's co-star Logan Lerman, who wrote: "The worlds foremost authority on style-miss emma watson!"

Logan also tweeted a bunch of other pics of his co-stars on set, including Nina Dobrev, Erin Wilhelmi, Landon Pigg, Johnny Simmons, Sarah Ramos, Ezra Miller, and Mae Whitman. Check them all out in the gallery.

Sounds like Emma is having a great time on set. She told MTV at the Movie Awards on Sunday:

"We've been shooting for, like, two weeks now, and we have three weeks left. It's been great. I'm having the time of my life. I really am having a very, very good summer."
