Tom Cruise is spotted getting his hair primped on the set of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol last Friday in Vancouver (Mar. 4). Cruise has been in the Canadian coastal city since early January filming the fourth installment of the popular Mission:Impossible franchise.

Cruise's co-star Simon Pegg confirmed to Screen Crave that the new M:I film will be just as great as the other three:

"I think you're right, when a film goes into number four you're like, 'Isn't this just like flogging a dead horse now?' But what they’ve done is they've brought in a director who's never done live action before but who's had a 100 percent hit rate for his previous movies: Ratatouille, The Incredibles, and The Iron Giant are all just five star films. Brad has just brought that sensibility to this film. And the fact that's it's Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, it's not Mission Impossible 4."

Tom Cruise and Jeremy Renner are spotted on the set of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol in Vancouver, Canada on Wednesday (Mar. 2). The last time Cruise was spotted on the set of the movie was back in early January (pics here).

There was some speculation that Tom would shoot a portion of Mission: Impossible in India. Not true, says his co-star Anil Kapoor: "Tom is fascinated with India and wants to visit the country. But he isn’t coming to shoot for MI 4."

Another source told the Hindustan Times: "MI 4 team was a little skeptical about the kind of hassle other Hollywood stars went through, while shooting in India. And they were worried about the safety of their unit members, especially Tom. Plus, they had very elaborate and expensive requirements for the set construction to match their film's look."

Paula Patton

December 16 - Paula Patton is seen on the set of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol in Vancouver.

Paula was cast to be the new ADA on Law & Order: SVU but bowed out after just one episode to film the latest Mission Impossible film.

SVU executive producer Neal Baer told TV Guide Magazine: "Right before Paula started her first episode — which she’s shooting right now — she was offered a test for ‘Mission Impossible 4.’ We had a contract, but I don’t want to stand in someone’s career path if they’re going to be in a huge feature film with Tom Cruise. So when she got that role, we recast ours."

January 3 - A tired looking -- someone enjoyed the holidays -- Simon Pegg on the Vancouver set of  Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol. Simon is returning for the fourth movie continuing his role as Benji Dunn. Looks like Simon is ready to do some of his own stunts. Be careful!
