A Look Back: "Magic Mike"

“A Look Back” is a series of posts we here at Caughtonset.com feature weekly. It’s as simple as the title makes it sound. Each Friday we will take “A Look Back” to the set of a newly released film. Look at pictures from the set today, then watch the movie tonight.

Magic Mike just might be one of the most anticipated movies of all time. At least of this year. By women. I don't think it's just me who can't contain myself waiting to see Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew Bomer and Channing Tatum play strippers. Magic Mike will be competing with several new releases, as well as Disney's Brave, for the number one slot at the box office.

Take it all off and you'll have every woman across the country rushing to see your movie. Sorry I got a little excited there. Oh I guess there are some actresses in the movie also. Some people named Riley Keough and Olivia Munn to name a few. I don't know why they are in there, just show us ladies the goods and we will all watch this movie...twice. Matthew Bomer signing autographs on the set of "White Collar"

The beautiful Matthew Bomer, along with Marsha Thomason, Sharif Atkins, and Tim DeKay were caught on the set of White Collar on June 19th in New York City. They also took some time out of their busy shooting schedule to sign autographs and take pictures with some lucy fans.

I love it when I get to see actors and other celebrities take some time out of their busy schedules to spend time with the fans. White Collar was already a favorite of ours at Caught on Set, but now the love is so much stronger. Awesome show, awesome actors and they are also awesome people. They are so great. I can't wait for the next season to get back on air.

White Collar’s Matthew Bomer takes a time out from filming to have a cup of coffee earlier this week in New York City. In addition to Laura Vandervoort (seen here earlier this week on set), there will be many more guest appearances this season. Including this one from Hollywoodreporter.com:

“House actor Michael Weston has been tapped for a guest starring role in the upcoming episode "Diminishing Returns" in the USA Network drama's fourth season, Weston will play David Cook, an overconfident and elusive criminal mastermind who Peter has been trying to put away since the beginning of his FBI career.”

If you’re like me, besides being all around awesome, you love watching this show. I’m not sure if I like the high priced rare goods people are stealing, the eye candy or just because everyone on that show has a more fun job than me. Either way I can’t wait for the new season to start, which happens to be Tuesday, July 10.

Matthew Bomer is a "Magic Mike" man

Bomer - who also plays Neal Caffrey on the hit USA show White Collar - recently sat down with The Advocate for an interview. One of the topics that came up was gay marriage, and Bomer said:

"It's sad that in 2011 we even have to discuss the fight for marriage equality in the United States. How can we say that we're a country that grants liberty and justice for all, and yet denies same-sex couples the right to marry? I feel that the generations to come will view this time period in terms of civil rights for the LGBT community as pretty sad and unnecessary."

Matt Bomer is seen filming his USA series White Collar in Manhattan last week (August 24). I wonder where the wardrobe department gets all of his suits for the show? He always looks incredible.

White Collar actually had its summer finale earlier this month - all the new pics you're seeing are from episodes that will air in January/February.

Great news for White Collar fans - the show's been renewed for a fourth season! 16 new episodes have been ordered. Yes! USA president Jeff Wachtel said in a press release:

"We're thrilled to offer our viewers another season that promises some of the best writing in television, unexpected twists and generous helpings of America's favorite bromance."

Say cheese for Matt Bomer!

Matt Bomer is spotted on the set of White Collar last week in New York (August 10). Say cheese!

White Collar star Tiffani Thiessen told Entertainment Tonight last week what fans can expect when the series resumes next January:

"You'll definitely come back with some answers, and conclusions with the cliffhanger that happens tonight. It's a very big episode. You'll see a lot of me, because I kind of end the episode tonight. It's crazy! Crazy! After that, you'll see Elizabeth solving her own case! I become suspicious of our new neighbors and open up this case on my own. I end up getting them arrested. It's a really fun episode, where I do a lot with Matt [Bomer] and Willie [Garson]. People have really been responding to the Elizabeth/Mozzie dynamic, so they've been writing more and more for us, so you'll see a lot of that next season."

Matt Bomer: Batter up!

Matt Bomer is spotted filming his show White Collar at Richmond County Bank Ballpark in Staten Island, New York on Tuesday (August 9). Batter up!

Also spotted on set was Matt's FBI partner on the show Tim DeKay - check out all the pics in the gallery. And don't miss the White Collar page for a lot more pics from set.

The episode, titled Stealing Home, is especially significant for Tim because it marks his television directing debut. The actor told THR last week:

"It's interesting because I look at it from an actor's point of view. It confirms my thought about always relying on the director when he or she gives me a note. To a degree, they perhaps know the moment a little better than I do as an actor because [they've] been with the script much longer ... There definitely will be some fighting in my head. The crew might see me in the corner just arguing with myself as to whether or not I can get another take."
