First pics of Anne Hathaway on the set of "The Dark Knight Rises"

A glammed-out Anne Hathaway is seen on the set of The Dark Knight Rises in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania yesterday (August 4). These are the first images of Anne - who plays Selina Kyle and her alter ego Catwoman in the film - on set.

Anne told Total Film earlier this week why why she went after the Catwoman role:

"I went after it because it was the best role and Chris [Nolan] was willing to meet me. I want to be the best actress I can be and that means working with the best people and taking the most challenging roles. That's the plan and so far it's led to some really exciting places ... [the movie] is going to be really good."

Marion Cotillard is Batman beautiful

Marion Cotillard is spotted on the set of The Dark Knight Rises in Pittsburgh yesterday (August 3). The beautiful French actress plays Miranda Tate in the film, a board member of Wayne Enterprises.

Marion was also spotted on set on Saturday - check out the pics here.

As for what drew her to the project, Marion told the Los Angeles Times earlier this year that Batman is her favorite superhero: "I think it's that he's human. He can't really fly, and he doesn't have superpowers. And he has that darkness inside."

Batman and Bane's brawl in Pittsburgh

Christian Bale and Tom Hardy are seen on the set of The Dark Knight Rises in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday (July 31). Hardy (aka Bane) makes an amazing - and freaky - villain!

Also seen on set was Marion Cotillard - check out the pics. And don't miss some pics of the "Tumbler" Batmobile as well.

In the scene shot on Saturday, prisoners staged a break-out at Blackgate Prison and then a huge riot erupted at Gotham City Hall, with both Batman and Bane present. These pics are extra-special because director Christopher Nolan is usually pretty secretive with his scenes.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20, 2012.
