Here's a fun pic of Glee's Darren Criss and Kevin McHale on the set of the music video for Katy Perry's new single Last Friday Night. The video was filmed last month in Los Angeles (check out a pic of Katy on set here).
Hanson also appears in the video as the house band. Taylor Hanson told MTV News that he was thrilled to get the invite:
"We were flattered to be asked, and it was great to be a part of it. We had a really good time. It was one of those things that worked out really well. They said [they] needed a band to play the party, and we thought we could bring the party — even if it was a fictional party.
There's a ton of other cameos in Katy's video. See how many you can spot:
Chord Overstreet, Dianna Agron, Kevin McHale, and Harry Shum Jr.
Chord Overstreet, Dianna Agron, Kevin McHale, and Harry Shum Jr. are seen filming Glee at Bethesda Fountain in Central Park yesterday (April 26). We've posted a TON of pics of the cast filming the season finale in New York this week. Check them all out on the Glee page.
Glee star Chris Colfer told Access Hollywood that filming in New York this week has been an absolute blast:
"It's been crazy and insane! There have been thousands and thousands of fans that have come to greet us. Every time one of us raises an arm they all go nuts. It's very supportive and very positive."
Kevin McHale and Amber Riley are spotted on the set of their hit Fox series Glee last week in Los Angeles (April 21). Also spotted on set that day were their co-stars Lea Michele, Dianna Agron, Heather Morris, Naya Rivera, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer, Matthew Morrison, and Jane Lynch. Don't miss Caught on Set's Glee page for all the latest on-set pics.
Speaking of Chris Colfer, he was just named by Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world! How exciting! You can check out his interview here in which he talks about his Golden Globe acceptance speech, the power of Glee, and standing up to bullies. Colfer's co-star Dianna Agron has a glowing write-up in the issue about him:
"Chris has wanted to be an actor, as he says, 'since I was an embryo,' which gave him the determination to say, 'Yes, I can,' despite the many who had said no. Chris, 20, lives by extreme truth, speaking out against the epidemic of bullying that he, too, faced in high school. The honesty that he infuses into his Glee character, Kurt, leaves you reeling. Our cast is blessed to hear things like 'Your character has helped me through this, or helped me do that,' but none more so than Chris. To witness the power he gives to his audience firsthand? It's wonderful."
Chris Colfer and Lea Michele are seen filming their hit show Glee on location at Eagle Rock Plaza in Los Angeles last week (Mar. 30). Also spotted on set that day were a TON of other Glee stars: Naya Rivera, Mark Salling, Cory Monteith, Heather Morris, Kevin McHale, Chord Overstreet, Harry Shum, and Jenna Ushkowitz. Check out all the great pics in the gallery below.
A big congrats are in order for the Gleecast, who scored their first airplay hits with two original songs they performed on the March 15 episode. "Loser Like Me" will hit the Adult Pop Songs airplay chart this Thursday at #37 and "Summer Rain" will hit the Adult Contemporary chart at #29.
WAJI (Ft. Wayne, Ind.) program director Barb Richards told Billboard that she is embracing the original songs:
"The show is huge and its music is popular, as shown by the sales. Still, I believe that people want to hear originals over remakes, so up until the Glee cast's original music it didn't make sense for us to play each latest cover, other than to spotlight it the day of the show."
Mark Salling is spotted heading back to his trailer during a break from filming Glee yesterday in Los Angeles (Feb. 24).
Along with the rest of the Glee crew, Kathy Griffin was also seen on set. She'll be playing one of the judges at Regionals. You can see all the pictures of everyone on set yesterday in the gallery below.
