Yet again an animated feature won over the audiences at the box office. Ice Age: Continental Drift, the fourth installment in the Ice Age franchise won this weekend's box office battle after pulling in more than $46 million.

It was quite the impressive weekend for the animated film as it worked its way to a higher 3-Day total than the last movie in the franchise, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. I guess children and their parents are eager to see what happens next with Manny, Diego and Sid. I did not get to theaters to see Ice Age yet, but I did go out to see Savages and Ted. I loved both movies and can't believe they are so low on the weekend box office draw. If you haven't seen Savages, you really need to. Unless you are too young to see it, in which case it is way too mature for you.
