“A Look Back” is a series of posts we here at Caughtonset.com feature weekly. It’s as simple as the title makes it sound. Each Friday we will take “A Look Back” to the set of a newly released film. Look at pictures from the set today, then watch the movie tonight.

Today we take A Look Back at Total Recall. This version is a remake of the 1990 of the same name that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger. That's right kids, before he became a politician The Arnold was an actor. This time around the film stars Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale.

Total Recall may not best the take of TDKR but it should score the highest of this week's new releases. I wasn't sure about this movie when it was first announced, I'm not really a fan of remakes. But the more I see of the movie I'm pretty sure I'll be getting around to the theater sometime this weekend. I mean TDKR is great but it doesn't feature a woman with three tits! Or Kate Beckinsale for that matter.

Well she is looking normal for her and by "normal" I mean hot as hell. There is the lovely Kate Beckinsale doing a photoshoot for Allure Magazine. Beckinsale will grace the cover of the August issue which hits newsstands July 24. She also was interviewed for the issue and said some pretty interesting things. (Everything she says is interesting to me.) From Popsugar.com:

"It's more of the thing of being embarrassing to somebody. I haven’t been embarrassing before. I can't dance at a party where there are teenagers without clearing the dance floor. Those are the things that make me go, 'F*ck, I'm old. . . .' When you're a parent, everyone leaves."

Don't worry Kate I would never leave you. Unless of course she doesn't age well. I've seen it a million times before. A beautiful actress gets hotter and hotter even as they hit their 40's and then BAM! Time catches up and just destroys them. "That Father Time can be a mean son of a bitch."

Nick Nolte and Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale was caught looking emotional on the set of The Trials of Cate McCullough while filming a scene with veteran actor Nick Nolte in Pasadena, CA on June 5th. From imdb.com:

"A former hotshot lawyer, now in recovery and estranged from her family, in order to be reinstated at the bar and recover custody of her daughter, must take on the appeal of a woman wrongfully convicted of murder."

This sounds interesting, I'm guessing that Kate will play the former hotshot lawyer. And I saw that James Cromwell was also in the cast, so we already know who the bad guy is. When was the last time James Cromwell was in a movie and wasn't the bad guy? The film also stars Taye Diggs, Clancy Brown and Isaiah Washington. No release date has been set at this time.

Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale is spotted filming Total Recall in Toronto, Canada today (July 26). The gorgeous star was seen walking around set with a prop gun and also filming a scene in a futuristic Dodge police car.

Kate's husband, director Len Wiseman was also seen on set. Check out some pics in the gallery. And don't miss the Total Recall page for some pics of Jessica Biel filming a scene yesterday.

At Comic-Con over the weekend, Wiseman revealed what drew him to the project:

"I was really gripped by the direction that the script went into. That and a love for both the film and the Philip K. Dick story. I'm fascinated by the reality vs. fantasy aspect to it, and wanted to dive a little deeper into that character's struggle."

Kate Beckinsale is spotted on the set of Underworld 4: New Dawn in Vancouver on Wednesday. Looks like Kate just can't give up the franchise. She starred as the "Death Dealer" Selene in the original Underworld and the sequel, Underworld: Evolution, but skipped the third film in the franchise, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.

Kate actually met her husband Len Wiseman on the set of the original Underworld in Budapest (Len directed the first three films in the series and is producing the fourth). The two have been married since 2004.

Michael Ealy will be the male lead opposite Beckinsale. He'll play a detective who hunts Selene but ultimately teams up with her.
