Jorge Garcia and Sarah Jones are spotted filming their new series Alcatraz at the Royal Bank Tower in Vancouver on Saturday (October 8). Filming stretched long into the night. Hope they had some coffee!

Alcatraz creator J.J. Abrams told Wetpaint more about the new show last month:

"Alcatraz is a cool show that Elizabeth Sarnoff created, who was on the Lost team. It's a cool mystery that takes place present day about Alcatraz and what happened 50 years ago on that island. [It's] a very different show to Lost and hopefully people will be asking different questions."

January 26 -- Jorge Garcia is seen on the set of the new Fox series Alcatraz in Vancouver.

Produced by J.J. Abrams -- who Garcia also worked with on Lost -- the show follows police officer Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones) as she works with the FBI to track down a group of missing Alcatraz prisoners who reappear in the present day. Garcia will play Alcatraz expert Dr. Diego Soto in the pilot.

Though filming will mainly be done in Vancouver (the pilot was shot in Downtown Eastside), some scenes will be shot at Alcatraz itself in San Francisco.
