A Look Back: "The Watch"

“A Look Back” is a series of posts we here at Caughtonset.com feature weekly. It’s as simple as the title makes it sound. Each Friday we will take “A Look Back” to the set of a newly released film. Look at pictures from the set today, then watch the movie tonight.

Today we take A Look Back at the making of The Watch. Starring Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, Jonah Hill, Richard Ayoade and Will Forte. The comedy should provide some great enteratinment over the weekendk, but will it be enough to overtake The Dark Knight Rises? Or does the Caped Crusader have enough momentum to hold onto the #1 spot?

If I hadn't seen either movie, I would probably prefer to see The Dark Knight over The Watch. That doesn't mean that I don't want to see The Watch, the trailers for the movie look hilarious. I can't wait to see it, but if I had to pick just one it would be TDKR. I think The Watch will probably come in second place behind only The Dark Knight Rises.

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are spotted on the set of their new film 21 Jump Street in New Orleans yesterday (May 10). Looks like they'll be patrolling the streets on bicycles for part of the movie.

Channing and Jonah (and Ice Cube) were also spotted on set last week. Check out all the pics on the 21 Jump Street page.

Johnny Depp told Entertainment Weekly last week why he agreed to do a cameo in the new film, which is based off the TV show he used to star in in the '80s:

"When I heard about it, I thought: 'Why not?' It seemed like a good idea. It had the right spirit, because it was looking back on the show that ... Jesus, that was 1986 [when it started], a very different world then in terms of what was possible and allowed.

"I don't know what it is, but I imagine there is some sense of humor behind it. It's nice to come into it and have a bit of closure, in a way. I got out of Jump Street on a sort of technicality in the middle of filming Edward Scissorhands. I was supposed to go back for a couple seasons, but there was just some weirdness with a date when they had to let me know to come back, and they didn't and agents and lawyers started going ape. And suddenly, your off and out. So for me, to come back to this, in a weird way, is interesting. Full circle."

Jonah Hill on the set of "21 Jump Street"

Jonah Hill is spotted on the set of his new film 21 Jump Street in New Orleans on Wednesday (May 4). Ice Cube was also spotted on set on Wednesday (pics in gallery below), as well as Channing Tatum (pics here).

Jonah isn't just starring in the film - he actually wrote it, too. According to reports, he lost 30 pounds to play the role of an undercover cop infiltrating a high school. A pal of his told Us Weekly:

"[Jonah] went on a diet for the movie, but gained weight at first! Finally, he got a nutritionist and a trainer. Now he looks better and feels better!"

Congrats on the health transformation Jonah!
