A Look Back: "Bachelorette"

"A Look Back” is a series of posts we here at Caughtonset.com feature weekly. It’s as simple as the title makes it sound. Each Friday we will take “A Look Back” to the set of a newly released film. Look at pictures from the set today, then watch the movie tonight.

This week we take a look back to the making of Bachelorette. Bachelorette stars Kirsten Dunst, Rebel Wilson, Lizzy Caplan, Isla Fisher, James Marsden and Adam Scott. It was written and directed by Leslye Headland who is getting her first chance in the director's seat. The film will have a limited release with only 47 theaters nationwide.

47 theaters is such a small release. The Words and The Cold Light of Day are being released this weekend in 2800 and 1,500 theaters respectively, and even those numbers are low. I'm pretty sure The Avengers is still out in 5,000 theaters right now and that thing has been out for 2 years. (As of Wednesday, Marvel's The Avengers is currently playing in 1,705 theaters and it's in it's 18th week of release.)

Dr. Cornel West drops in on 30 Rock

Princeton professor Dr. Cornel West is going to make a guest appearance on 30 Rock. Here he is seen taking a picture with some of the cast. Kevin Brown (aka Dot Com) posted to his twitter:

"Look who is making a guest appearance on 30 Rock"

Dr. Cornel West on 30 Rock? Can't wait to hear what type of "knowledge" he is dropping during his appearance. Dot Com and Grizz are two of my favorite characters on the show, I hope they are in a couple scenes with the doctor. Who are your favorite characters? Let us know in the comments section.

James Marsden is a "Bachelorette" babe

James Marsden is spotted on the set of his new comedy Bachelorette in New York on Wednesday (September 21). I swear, he looks happy all the time!

Could we see James guest-starring soon on the HBO hit series True Blood? James told MTV this week at the premiere of Straw Dogs that he's open to it:

"Oh, that's right [I've starred with] Anna Paquin [in X-Men] and now Alexander [Skarsgård in Straw Dogs]. That's a good question. If I went on True Blood, I would probably go with vampire. I'm not hairy enough to be a werewolf."

"Loft" filming in New Orleans

James Marsden, Wentworth Miller, Karl Urban, and Eric Stonestreet are spotted on the set of their new film Loft in New Orleans on Monday (June 13).

Loft is a thriller about five friends (Patrick Wilson plays the fifth friend) who share a loft for their extramarital affairs who begin to question each other after the body of an mystery woman is found in the property. Sounds like a pretty cool plot!

The film is definitely a change of pace for Stonestreet, whose day job is playing the lovable and hilarious Cameron on Modern Family.
