Throwback Thursday: "The Godfather"

Throwback Thursday is a weekly update that we do here on Caught on Set. Every Thursday we post pictures from the set of a movie you haven’t seen in a while, or possibly ever.

Today we get to see pictures from the set of The Godfather. Francis Ford Coppola's Mob classic stars Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, James Caan, Robert Duvall and Diane Keaton among many others. Released in 1972 it was based on the novel and screenplay written by Mario Puzo.

The Godfather is widely regarded as one of the greatest movies of all time and won the Academy Award for Best Picture. The AFI named the movie the #2 greatest film of all time. I completely agree with that ranking for The Godfather, although it should be #2 behind Casablanca not Citzen Kane, but that's a conversation for another time. This story, writing, acting, directing and editing are so great even the sequel won the Oscar for best picture in 1975.

Clive Owen and Mila Kunis were once again spotted on the set of their new film Blood Ties in New York City. This time they were spotted on May 29th filming with James Caan.

I'm not sure how many times we've posted pictures from the set of Blood Ties recently. I think I've run out of things to write about the movie. So how about this weather we're having? I don't have any idea what the weather is like where you live, but where I am it has been beautiful. Also we have 71 pictures total in the gallery, that's the most we've ever had so look at all of them. Twice.
