Gloria Estefan on Glee

Gloria Estefan was spotted on the set of Glee filming an upcoming episode. The Cuban singer/actress will play the role of Mrs. Lopez the mother of Santana (Naya Rivera) on the Fox series. In a picture tweeted by the show's Co-creator/ executive producer Brad Falchuck; Estefan and Rivera are in a dinner scene with Heather Morris.

I wonder if she, or someone else from the cast will be singing any of her old hits? I haven't heard any of her songs in a long time, so I would really look forward to it. Also spotted filming scenes for the show was Lea Michele in and around New York.

"Glee" group shot!

Heather Morris, Lea Michele, producer Adam Shankman, Naya Rivera, and Dianna Agron are spotted posing for a picture on the set of their hit series Glee in Los Angeles last week (September 21). What a lucky guy to be sandwiched between four such beautiful ladies!

Lea tweeted the pic and said: "On set with @Adamshankman @DiannaAgron @NayaRivera and Hemo:)"

Even though Lea's character Rachel Berry graduates at the end of the current season and is leaving the show, she said not to count her out yet:

"I could flunk! Which can happen. I can fail my classes, so I'm going to see how I feel and then decide. Obviously, I can't be on the show forever but I think I look fairly young."

"Glee" filming at Washington Square Park

Naya Rivera and Lea Michele are spotted filming Glee at Washington Square Park in New York last Friday (April 29). Also spotted on set filming was Dianne Agron, Jenna Ushkowitz, Heather Morris, and Ashley Fink. Check out all the pics in the gallery.

This should be the last set of pics from Glee's week in New York as most of the cast was seen flying back home to Los Angeles over the weekend.

Make sure not to miss Glee's Fleetwood Mac tribute episode tomorrow night on FOX. Here's a preview from RTT:

"The new installment of the TV musical will mark the first time that the show will perform songs off of one album, Fleetwood Mac's 1977 classic Rumours. Kristin Chenoweth returns to join the cast of Glee as loveable drunk April Rhodes for the new episode. She will perform with Will Schuester, played by Matthew Morrison, on the song Dreams."

Ashley Fink, Lea Michele, Heather Morris, Jenna Ushkowitz, and Dianna Agron are seen filming a song and dance number for Glee yesterday in Times Square (April 25). Also posted some pics earlier this morning of Lea on set here.

The Glee cast definitely has Manhattan buzzing - they even got to meet Mayor Michael Bloomberg! During a meet-and-greet at the Gershwin Theatre yesterday, executive producer Dante Di Loreto took a playful shot at Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa:

"We've been filming Glee in Los Angeles for two years—we never met the mayor there. We've been in New York City for six hours and we feel incredibly welcome."

Mayor Bloomberg jokingly added:

"Just in case you want to move everything to New York, we'd love to have you. Sorry about the mayor of L.A."

Speaking of Chris Colfer, he was just named by Time as one of the 100 most influential people in the world! How exciting! You can check out his interview here in which he talks about his Golden Globe acceptance speech, the power of Glee, and standing up to bullies. Colfer's co-star Dianna Agron has a glowing write-up in the issue about him:

"Glee": mall day!

Chris Colfer and Lea Michele are seen filming their hit show Glee on location at Eagle Rock Plaza in Los Angeles last week (Mar. 30). Also spotted on set that day were a TON of other Glee stars: Naya Rivera, Mark Salling, Cory Monteith, Heather Morris, Kevin McHale, Chord Overstreet, Harry Shum, and Jenna Ushkowitz. A big congrats are in order for the Glee cast, who scored their first airplay hits with two original songs they performed on the March 15 episode. "Loser Like Me" will hit the Adult Pop Songs airplay chart this Thursday at #37 and "Summer Rain" will hit the Adult Contemporary chart at #29.

WAJI (Ft. Wayne, Ind.) program director Barb Richards told Billboard that she is embracing the original songs:

"The show is huge and its music is popular, as shown by the sales. Still, I believe that people want to hear originals over remakes, so up until the Glee cast's original music it didn't make sense for us to play each latest cover, other than to spotlight it the day of the show."
