Piper Perabo is a "Covert Affairs" cutie

Piper Perabo is seen filming her hit show Covert Affairs at the Four Seasons Centre in Toronto, Canada on Monday (October 3). After the scene was finished, a nearby assistant swapped out Piper's high heels for a pair of more comfortable flats.

Good news for Covert Affairs fans - USA has renewed the series for a third season, which is scheduled to air next year. USA President Chris McCumber told The Hollywood Reporter:

"We had an unprecedented number of original series on our air - and every single one of them was great. Our writers, directors and producers truly understand what it takes to create sustainable success. It's a rare and wonderful thing to announce the pick-up of our entire summer of programming."

Peter Gallagher loves his Ray-Ban Aviators

Peter Gallagher is spotted on the set of his USA series Covert Affairs in Toronto last Friday (August 19). The veteran actor was looking ultra cool in a pair of hip Ray-Ban Aviators.

Covert Affairs is set in Washington D.C., but filmed in Toronto (sort of like another USA series, Suits, which is set in New York).

At Comic-Con last month in San Diego, Gallagher said that it's good that some of the episodes are shifting away from Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) and onto some secondary characters such as Auggie Anderson (Christopher Gorham):

"You know, Piper is unbelievable. She has got this show on her shoulders. She's out there swinging and kicking and speaking Chinese and Russian 16 hours a day, and never lets down. But at some point, you know, you don't want to run her to the ground. Shifting some of the stories -- like, it was great to see this past episode where she was in a position to help Auggie, and she wasn't out having to you know... I just felt happy for her body that week. Because seriously, you know? You do these fight scenes and..."
