Michael K. Williams and Common
Michael K. Williams and Common are spotted on the set of their new indie film L.U.V. last week in New York (April 25). You may recognize Michael as Omar from The Wire (amazing series!).
Common is both producing and starring in the film about the unlikely bond formed between an ex-convict Vincent (Common) and his introverted 13-year-old nephew. The hip hop artist has previously appeared in the films Smokin' Aces, American Gangster, Wanted, and Street King. Not a bad résumé!
In a press release last week, Common revealed more about his character in the film:
"Vincent is a uniquely conflicted character. I found an appeal in his desire to move past his failures and onto the right track, and the challenges that presents."
