Christina Ricci is seen walking on the set of her new show Pan Am in New York yesterday (October 11). Been watching this show since the premiere and I am LOVING it!

Christina told The Globe and Mail yesterday how she and other castmates learned how to be Pan Am flight attendants from the '60s:

"We spent time with former Pan Am stewardess Nancy Hult Ganis, who provided us with tons of anecdotal research and information from the airline. You know, pamphlets they were given at the time, explaining what stewardesses were required to look like and act like. We were taught things that I’m hopeless at, like napkin folding and the proper way to serve food and greet people."

Christina told Movie Web earlier this week what originally drew her to the show:

"Well, I just thought the concept of the show was so different and something that as an avid television watcher myself, I couldn't think of anything that it really reminded me of. It just seemed like something that would be totally different and new. I also loved this particular period in history. I've always been fascinated by it and the idea that we could go back and revisit certain really big historical moments of this era was really exciting to me."

Christina Ricci and her dog Karen are seen on the set of Pan Am in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan on Monday (Mar. 21). Christina was also spotted last week on the set of her new ABC series (which sounds SO cool btw!) - check out the pics here and here.

Christina revealed last year that she loves living in the city with her cute little dog:

"Yes, I have my little dog, Karen, with me and we’re trying to get into a routine. She’s half dachshund and half Chihuahua. She’s very cute and very friendly—she loves to walk up and down the street and say hello to everyone. I keep telling her, "Wait till winter! You’re not going to want to be outside anymore.' "

Christina Ricci gets caught by a gust of wind on the set of the ABC pilot Pan Am Wednesday in New York (Mar. 16). The actress was also spotted on the set of the retro drama last week (pics here).

Interestingly, the script for the Pan Am pilot was written by former ER writer Nancy Hult Ganis, who used to be a Pan Am flight attendant in the 1970s. Sony Pictures TV production president Zack Van Amburg told Variety that there will no shortage of interesting storylines in the new series:

"[Pan Am flight attendants] were the world's ambassadors. They were really interesting women at a time when a lot of things were happening, particularly for women in this country... and in terms for what Pan Am did for exporting American culture and importing the world, think about all the visuals of the Beatles landing at JFK on Pan Am."

A radiant Christina Ricci is seen on the set of the pilot of the ABC drama Pan Am in New York last Thursday (Mar. 10). Also starring Michael Mosley and Jonah Lotan, Pan Am will be set in the 1960s and be centered around the pilots and flight attendants working for the iconic Pan Am airlines. What a cool idea for a show!

If ABC picks it up, this would be Christina's first regular TV role.

New York Magazine says to expect "drinking, smoking, and various degrees of sexual harassment." They're already calling it "Mad Men-in-the-skies."
