Thor: The Dark World

Chris Hemsworth is back to work on the set of, Thor: The Dark World, filming in the UK last week. According to the good people over at Insight News and Features, Chris Hemsworth is in one of these pictures from set. I guess it's like an updated version of Where's Waldo.

Take a look through the gallery and see if you can find the pictures that contains Chris Hemsworth. If you are the first person to find him you get a prize. Actually that won't work, because anyone could write in and say they found him and since I don't know what the correct answer is I would just have to believe them. Snow White and The Huntsman is this weekend's box office winner. The new take on the classic tale took the number one spot by pulling in more than $56 million over it's first three days. It beat last week's number one movie MIB 3 by nearly $30 million despite playing on 500 less screens. From Boxofficemojo.com:

Although the film still has quite a ways to go before catching The Avengers, $56 million is quite an impressive pull especially during the first week of June. The biggest surprise of the weekend was Wes Anderson's newest Moonrise Kingdom. it only grossed $849,000, good for 13th place, but it did so on only 16 screens. It's $53,063 per screen average was by far the best of the weekend.

Last November Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth were seen filming Snow White and the Huntsman in the UK. Now just 7 months later we finally get to see the finished product. The film also stars South African beauty Charlize Theron as the evil witch. From boxofficemojo.com:

"The first weekend of June is typically a tough time to open a movie, given the usual strength of the late May holdovers. How fortuitous, then, that the only major studio release this weekend—Snow White and the Huntsman—is opening on the heels of MIB 3, which is performing fine enough but isn't sucking all the oxygen out of the air. This should give Snow White plenty of room to breathe at its 3,772 locations, and it will likely claim the top spot at the box office this weekend."

3,700 screens is a lot of theaters, although they'll have to hope for better per screen ticket sales to knock off MIB3 which opened on 4,200 screens last weekend. The Avengers lead all movies over the weekend for the 3rd straight week. Grossing over $55 million on 4,249 screens. The gross was down 46.6 % on 100 less screens, but was still scored more than double the 2nd place film Battleship. From boxofficemojo.com:

The latest blockbuster hit to come from the Marvel Universe was Paramount Pictures' The Avengers. The super hero flick has been tearing up the charts, bringing in a whopping $384 MILLION in it's opening weekend! Many reasons have played a part in the success of the film, however one might have been overlooked. Nutritionist Kimberly Snyder. She worked on set and was responsible for the nutrition of many of the actors. From Kimberly Snyder's website:

"To say it was a blast to work on the Avengers set would be a huge understatement! The actors are absolute sweethearts, which is saying a lot considering the incredibly heavy costumes they had to wear and extremely long days and shooting schedule, which included a lot of all-night shoots."

If her guidance and smoothies can help the actors look like they do, I'll take some. A lot of people went to see the movie because of the special effects, comic books or previous individual movies, but I bet a whole lot also went to see the hot actors in tight costumes. So let's give the nutritionists some love and take a look at Kimberly's pictures from the set with actors Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Chris Evans.

Ron Howard was nice enough to tweet a bunch of pics on location of his newest film Rush. Filming has been taking place in a number of different European countries over the last few weeks. We picked 21 of the best pictures for your enjoyment. From imdb.com:

The story sounds pretty amazing and with Ron Howard at the helm it's sure to be a powerful film. Rush also stars Alexandra Maria Lara and Olivia Wilde who are included in the pictures from the set. With the movie still in production no release date has been set.

Samuel L. Jackson and fan

Not too long ago Samuel L. Jackson took a time out to pose for a picture with a fan on the set of The Avengers. Not only is he a great actor, but he also appears to be a pretty nice guy.

We have more pictures from the set in the gallery, be sure to take a look around and see what Director Joss Whedon has in store for you. With an estimated $220 million budget I'm sure the special effects will be out of this World and pretty constant. Fresh off of it's Hollywood premier a few days ago, the official US release date is set for May 4. But for many countries around the World, The Avengers will be released almost a week earlier. So yeah, we are a little jealous of you right now.

Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth are spotted on the set of Snow White and the Huntsman in London last week. (November 10). Robert Pattinson and now Chris? It must be really tough for Kristen working with all these gorgeous men!

Notice in the pictures that Kristen's hand is bandaged? She actually injured it (and her knee) filming a scene earlier this month in Wales. She said at a press junket in Los Angeles:

"I got hurt... It's a minor thing... I was just fighting dwarves then hit my knee really hard."

Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans

Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans are spotted on the set of The Avengers at Bethesda Fountain in New York last Friday (September 2). Chris plays Captain America in the film and of course Robert plays Mr. Iron Man himself, Tony Stark.

Speaking of Hiddleston, he told MTV last week that the fight scenes in the film are going to be "breathtaking":

"It's so fun and so hard. I have had so many fights in this but it's going to be breathtaking. The action in this film is going to be breathtaking. The stunt team is the greatest in the world, everyone's really dialed in. That's part of the reason you go to see Avengers. You go to see what happens when all these superheroes go toe-to-toe. When half the people in the film can fly, you know it's going to be incredible. The challenge is to make it dynamic and quick and athletic, but also I'm wearing 40 pounds of leather and metal."

Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth is spotted on the set of The Avengers last Friday in Cleveland (August 19). Chris plays Thor in the film (you can probably tell by his huge arms).

Chris told Access Hollywood last week that a recent scene he filmed for the movie was pretty much the coolest thing he's ever done in his career:

"I think we blew 20 cars up in that sequence. It was one of the biggest things to happen in my life."
