Steve Martin Films A Skit For "Late Show With David Letterman"

Last week Steve Martin filmed a skit for the Late Show with David Letterman in New York City. The comedian was standing next to a sign that read 'Steve Martin Park...Smoking and Drinking Allowed'. He was spotted handing out alcohol and cigarettes wearing a wrinkled suit and carried a cigarette tray with tobacco, beer and varying types of hard liquor.

This "Steve Martin Park" sounds like my kind of place. Smoking and Drinking allowed? Check. Moderate Drug Use O.K.? Check. And it's all topped off by a free midnight concert by The Rolling Stones? Sounds pretty damn awesome to me. How do I get to this park? I'm on my way.

Criminal Minds Returns For Season 8

The cast of Criminal Minds headed back to the studio to begin filming season 8 of the hit CBS drama. The cast was photographed by Vernon Cheek, who posted them to his twitter account. He tweeted with the following with the headline picture:

"The ladies for season 8 of Criminal Minds including newest cast member Jeanne Tripplehorn who will play Alex Blake."

Pictured in this gallery is Jeanne Tripplehorn, A.J. Cook, Kristen Vagsness, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler and Joe Mantegna. Mantegna also tweeted a picture that showed the cast and crew celebrating the birthday of Kreisten Vagsness during the table read. It's so much cooler when you find out that the cast of your favorite shows actually get a long with and like each other.

NPH Visits "Live with Kelly"

Neil Patrick Harris was seen goofing around with Kelly Ripa on her show Live with Kelly at ABC Studios in New York City on June 7th. Ripa and NPH were seen shooting water guns, doing the limbo, hitting plastic balls with plastic bats and even riding a tricycle.

NPH is awesome, that's all there is to say about that. After his performance in Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, where he faced the difficult challenge of playing himself, no one can ever deny the range and talent this former doctor brings to the table. All kidding aside, he really was hilarious playing a parody of himself in that movie and he is quite funny playing the role of Barney Stinson on the hit CBS show How I Met Your Mother.

Daniel Dae Kim and Maria Menounos on "Extra"

Hawaii Five-O's Daniel Dae Kim was seen May 10th on the set of Extra being interviewed by host Maria Menounos. I can only imagine that Daniel was on the show to talk about the season 2 finale of Five-O, which aired on May 14th. From imdb.com:

"Five-0 needs the help of an imprisoned dirty cop to track down a suspect who killed captain Fryer and set off a bomb in the HPD. Meanwhile, Joe White returns and promises to reveal to McGarrett the identity of Shelbourne."

Another season of Hawaii Five-O is in the books and we will have to wait another couple months to see the 3rd season. The renewal of Hawaii Five-O was announced in March in a blanket announcement with several of CBS' other top shows. CBS has had a great run of late with a number of TV's highest rated shows and Hawaii Five-O is definitely one of my favorites of those shows.

Tricia Helfer does "Criminal Minds"

Tricia Helfer of Battlestar Galactica fame will make a guest appearance on an upcoming episode of the CBS drama Criminal Minds. She is barely recognizable in this picture posted earlier this week by CM SetReport. If she hadn’t posted this the same day on her twitter account I might not have believed it was her:

"Gonna be sporting a different look for #CriminalMinds Fun to change things up."

It certainly is a different look. There aren’t too many details around the web as to what character she’ll be playing in the season 7 finale. According to TV Line, she did say she would be playing a bad character when they caught up with her at the Genesis Awards on March 24. After reading CBS’ official summary of the finale which reads, “When a federal bank is under attack, the BAU is called to negotiate a hostage situation. As events unfold in real-time, tensions rise as one of the team becomes a hostage.” Wow - I wonder if she’ll be a hostage or the one taking hostages? I know I wouldn’t mind being her captive. The finale is set to air May 16.
