The Weekend Winner is a weekly update here on Caught on Set. Every Monday we will post pictures from the set of the movie that wins the box office battle over the weekend.

In the worst weekend at the box office this year, The Expendables 2 once again topped the list. Numbers were down across the board as the number 1 movie only made $13.5 million. This weekend's 3 nationwide releases didn't fare so well as none of those 3 made this weekend's top 5.

1 The Expendables 2 $13,500,000
2 The Bourne Legacy $9,300,000
3 ParaNorman $8,546,000
4 The Campaign $7,440,000
5 The Dark Knight Rises $7,150,000

Of the movies that did make the top 5 all of their grosses dropped 35% or more over last weekend. That's pretty horrible news. I guess this is what they were talking about when they tried to ban the internet or whatever. Although I don't believe that people being able to download movies is the cause of this bad weekend at the box office.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis

The Weekend Winner is a weekly update here on Caught on Set. Every Monday we will post pictures from the set of the movie that wins the box office battle over the weekend.

As many people expected The Expendables 2 was the big winner at the box office this weekend. The action sequel earned over $28 million. The success of the movie was pretty expected and largely dependent on it's cast. Featuring some of the biggest names in the history of action movies as well as several younger ones as well.

1 The Expendables 2 $28,750,000
2 The Bourne Legacy $17,020,000
3 ParaNorman $14,008,000
4 The Campaign $13,385,000
5 Sparkle $12,000,000

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Liam Hemsworth, Randy Couture, Sylvester Stallone and Terry Crews. All in the same damn movie! Of course this thing is going to make money. The most surprising thing from this weekend is the fact that TDKR is no longer in the top 5. After 5 weeks in theaters it's still able to earn over $11 million to finish in sixth place.

Harvey Keitel

Harvey Keitel is spotted on the set of Moonrise Kingdom outside Trinity Church in Newport, Rhode Island last week (June 14). Also spotted on the set of the ensemble drama were Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bob Balaban, and director Wes Anderson.

Don't miss the Moonrise Kingdom page for more pics from set.

The Newport Now has more about the comings and goings on set:

"By mid-morning, passersby on Spring Street appeared intrigued by the startling sight of a black, vintage Volkswagen bug squashed like – well, a bug – beneath a steeple that had apparently fallen from the top of historic Trinity Church. Not to worry! The real steeple is intact; the one sitting on the Volkswagen was only a prop."

Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis is spotted on the set of Lay the Favorite last week in New Orleans (May 19). Check out more pics of him on set last week here.

Bruce must really love New Orleans - Lay the Favorite is the second straight film he's done in the city (he finished production on Looper earlier this year). In late June, Bruce is scheduling to start shooting Fire with Fire with 50 Cent - his third straight film in the city!

Speaking of Looper, Joseph Gordon-Levitt told MTV News earlier this year how exciting it was to work with Bruce on the film:

"Bruce is awesome, I've looked up to that guy ever since I was a little kid, everybody did. He's such a good actor, we ran the gamut, some of the stuff we did was full on action, and then I'm like, 'Holy goddamn sh*t, I'm doing an action scene with Bruce Willis!' But then a lot of the stuff we did was like really, really smart, great Rian Johnson dialogue that makes me think of Pulp Fiction. I was so happy to work with Bruce, and he was so cool, so cool to meet, so cool to everybody, and it was a pleasure.

Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis is spotted on the set of his new film Lay the Favorite in New Orleans last week (May 16). Cowboy up!

Also starring Vince Vaughn, Joshua Jackson, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, the movie is about a woman who teams up with a group of geeky math dudes to clean out Las Vegas sportsbooks for millions of dollars.

The film is based on Beth Raymer's 2010 memoir Lay the Favorite: A Memoir of Gambling. Raymer told Bloomberg last year that the groups biggest score "took place over the nine-day span of the 2004 NBA finals. In one of the biggest upsets in basketball history, the Pistons beat the Lakers in five games and we made one and a half million dollars."
