Eva Mendes is spotted on the set of her new film Ansiedad in Vancouver last week (April 6). In the scene, Eva was seen giving actor Matthew Modine (not pictured) the finger through a cafe window!

In other Eva movie news, she's reading for the roles of both Lori and Melina in Len Wiseman's new Total Recall remake. Her competition for Lori includes Kate Bosworth and Diane Kruger, while Paula Patton, Jessica Biel, and Eva Green are all vying for the role of Melina.

Wow, no rest for Len. He's currently filming Underworld 4: New Dawn in Vancouver with his wife Kate Beckinsale.

Eva Mendes is spotted taking a lunch break on the set of her new Latin flick Ansiedad in Vancouver on Monday (Mar. 28). The actress was also seen on set last week - check out the pics here.

While on set last week, Eva got some exciting news: she was named as the new face of French fashion designer Thierry Mugler's "Angel" fragrance. Naomi Watts has been the spokesmodel since 2008, but Eva's taking over the duties beginning this September. In a press release, the company said:

"While Naomi Watts' ethereal beauty embodied the angelic aspect of the fragrance, Thierry Mugler chose to reignite the enticing and explosive dimensions of the fragrance with the sultry Mendes.

"Though her obviously flawless physical beauty is in perfect harmony with the artist's aesthetic canon, Ms. Mendes mesmerized Mugler with her independence, determination and humor."

I can hardly wait to see her ads!

Eva Mendes is spotted leaving her trailer on the set of her new comedy Ansiedad (Anxiety) in Vancouver last week (Mar. 15).

Ansiedad, a collaboration between Lionsgate and Grupo Televisa and directed by Patricia Riggen, tells the story of a neglected 13-year-old (Cierra Ramirez) facing one crisis after another as she enters adulthood. Mendes plays her young mother.

Filming is scheduled to take place in Vancouver through April 13. Mission Impossible 4, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, and Underworld 4: New Dawn are all currently filming in the beautiful Canadian coastal city. According to The Globe and Mail, sixty-nine feature films were shot in the Vancouver area last year.
