Another weekend in the theaters and another week at the top of the box office for The Dark Knight Rises. Great performances by Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the rest of the cast have kept TDKR on top over all the new releases. From BoxOfficeMojo.com:

For the third weekend in a row Batman was able to hold the top spot over a highly advertised new release. Last week TDKR held off The Watch and this week it won the box office battle against the Total Recall remake. You would think a movie starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel would be able to beat a movie in it's third week in theaters. I think that would normally be the case but not when it's the Caped Crusader.

No surprise this week as The Dark Knight Rises once again won the box office battle over the weekend. The Caped Crusader pulled in a very impressive $64 million during it's second weekend in theaters. From Boxofficemojo.com:

The biggest surprise to me is that The Watch made so little money after all of the advertising they did leading up to the release date. It had to be very disappointing to make less money in your debut weekend than an animated film that is the 4th in it's series and in it's third week in theaters. I guess not too many people like "skinny" Jonah Hill in their movies.

“A Look Back” is a series of posts we here at Caughtonset.com feature weekly. It’s as simple as the title makes it sound. Each Friday we will take “A Look Back” to the set of a newly released film. Look at pictures from the set today, then watch the movie tonight.

The Dark Knight Rises hit theaters across the country at midnight today. The highly anticipated Batman follow up is no doubt going to win the box office battle this weekend. Pretty much the only competition for The Dark Knight Rises at this point is history.

Anne Hathaway is seen waving to fans on the set of The Dark Knight Rises in Newark, New Jersey last week (November 4). Looks like it must have been a pretty cold day.

According to the Newark Star-Ledger, production of the film has shut down City Hall for a few days:

Across from a sign that warned visitors of "contained fires and loud noises" as well as "simulated explosions" and gun shots (blanks), guards shushed those entering the building. Anyone who wasn't a city employee or due for business in City Hall -- marriage licenses, water and tax bills, for instance -- was barred from the filming area. Wannabe extras were turned away.

Anne Hathaway is spotted on the set of The Dark Knight Rises in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday (September 25). I'm glad I don't have to wear a skin-tight leather bodysuit at my job!

Anne opened up earlier this month about how pressured she felt while filming One Day, director Lone Scherfig's adaptation of author David Nicholls's 2009 bestselling novel:

"Well I didn't realize how deeply loved the character was when I signed on to play Emma. I wish I didn't really know! It became even larger when people kept asking me, 'So you're playing Emma? Will you be doing this with the character? Will you be doing that?' I'm like, 'Oh my gosh, people know every word of this book."

Batman and Catwoman caught on set

Christian Bale (aka Batman) and Anne Hathaway (aka Catwoman) are seen on the set of The Dark Knight Rises on Saturday in Los Angeles (September). Production of the film has moved to the City of Angels after spending a good chunk of the last few months filming in Pittsburgh.

Could we see Anne guest-starring on the Fox hit show Glee? According to creator Ryan Murphy, he's in talks with her:

"I'm meeting with Anne in the next couple weeks. We're not going to do guest stars at all the first half of the season, but I would love to work with her, and she supposedly has the whole thing mapped out. I'm curious as to what she wants to do. I love her. I think she's great."

Anne Hathaway filming "The Dark Knight Rises" in Los Angeles

Anne Hathaway is seen filming The Dark Knight Rises in Los Angeles on Wednesday (September 7). The actress was seen getting into a cab with a "Gotham City" license plate. Pretty cool.

Looks like filming of the movie has moved onto Los Angeles after spending quite a while in Pittsburgh - check out The Dark Knight Rises page for a bunch of pics from set.

According to some rumors, this could be Anne's last film for a while. An insider told Star magazine:

"[Anne's] telling friends that when she wraps The Dark Knight Rises, her next project will be remodeling the home she and [boyfriend Adam Shulman] share in Brooklyn and installing a nursery. She wants to take some time off from work to focus on her personal life. Adam doesn't have a huge ego, and he's already assured her that he's fine with being a stay-at-home dad so she can go back to work whenever she wants."
