Amy Adams on the set of “Man of Steel”

Amy Adams is spotted on the set of the highly-anticipated new Superman film Man of Steel earlier this week in Plano, Illinois (August 15). Amy is playing Lois Lane in the film. Also seen on set was director Zack Snyder.

Earlier this year, Amy was seen in Los Angeles filming The Muppets with Jason Segel - check out the pics here.

Margot Kidder, who played the original Lois Lane in the 1978 film Superman: The Movie, had some glowing words for Adams earlier this year:

“She’s a brilliant, wonderful actress! She’s incredible. She’s an extraordinarily accomplished young lady — and gorgeous and full of energy and spirit. She’s so different from part to part, it’s going to be really interesting to see what she does with Lois.”

Amy Adams and Jason Segel filming “The Muppets”

January 17 — Amy Adams and Jason Segel are seen filming the upcoming Disney comedy The Muppets in Los Angeles. Jason is actually co-directing the film, along with James Bobin.

Jason recently told Zap2it he’s excited to bring The Muppets to a new generation of fans: “It’s kind of hearkening back to the old style of Muppets movies. ‘Muppets take Manhattan’ and the original, ‘The Muppet Movie.’ I couldn’t be more excited. There’s a whole generation of people who really don’t know who the Muppets are. Hopefully it will be something the whole family can enjoy. Our generation has all these nostalgic feelings for the Muppets.”
