Brad Pitt is spotted on the set of his new film World War Z in Valletta, Malta on Wednesday (June 15).
Based on the novel World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by author Max Brooks, the film picks up ten years after the human victory over the world wide zombie epidemic (aka World War Z). Brad plays Max in the film, an agent of the United States Postwar Commission who scours the world collecting the stories and experiences of those who have survived the conflict that almost eradicated humanity. It also stars Ed Harris and Matthew Fox.
There was talk of a film adaptation of the novel for years. Back in 2006, Brooks told the blog EAT MY BRAINS! that he would love to see Pitt play him:
"Oh who wouldn't love to see Brad Pitt play them in a movie, but with my luck (and looks) they'll give it to 'Ducky' from Sixteen Candles."
