Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie is pictured June 27th in costume on the set of her new movie Maleficent in Buckinghamshire, UK. Jolie plays the "evil witch" Maleficent in the film which takes a new twist on the classic Sleeping Beauty tale. Brad Pitt's baby mama sat down with Entertainment Weekly for an interview a couple of weeks ago. From EW.com:
"In this version, Sleeping Beauty is the nemesis instead of the good guy?
It’s not anti-princess, but it’s the first time they’re looking at this epic woman.
Is it sympathetic to her, or is she a straight-up villain?
It’s both. I hope in the end you see a woman who is capable of being many things, and just because she protects herself and is aggressive, it doesn’t mean she can’t have other [warmer] qualities. You have to figure out the puzzle of what she is."

I never thought they would flip the script on Sleeping Beauty. I always assumed Princess Aurora was pretty safe from being turned into the villain. Those horns are pretty menacing, how can you look at that image and not immediately see "bad guy"? I guess we will have to wait to find out how they can make her a little more sympathetic. We'll be waiting for a long time on this one, as Disney have set the release date for March 14th, 2014.
