Amber Heard is spotted on the set of the pilot for the NBC drama Playboy in Chicago last week. Amber posted on her Facebook: "In Chicago now filming the NBC pilot The Playboy Club..... Can't wait for it to be seen...!!"
The hourlong drama will be set in the '60s and take a look at a group of women working at the original Playboy Club in Chicago. Variety describes Amber's character Maureen as an "eager, inquisitive young woman with an untethered, unconscious sexuality and a dark, lonely past that makes her fearless." Jenna Dewan, Eddie Cibrian, and David Krumholtz also star.
Amber told IGN that she's excited about the new show:
"I'm excited about it. Like any good piece of work, the challenge is also going to be what makes it so great. It's a crime drama centered around the 1960s Playboy clubs of Chicago, so there's a lot going on.
"It's early '60s, but it's on the eve of women's lib. It's on the eve of this rights revolution [and] the sexual revolution. There's so much to be told [and] the texture is so rich. I anticipate that [depth] being what makes the show so good, but it's also going to be the most difficult part of it, tying in all those elements."
